What We Shipped in May 2026
A quick roundup of everything that landed on ToolKit in May: new tools, the QA & Testing category, a homepage redesign, 25+ new guides, and a new blog.
May was a big month. Here's what shipped.
New tools
API Assertion Builder — paste a JSON response, get typed assertions for Jest, Playwright, pytest, or Supertest. Three modes: exact values, type-safe, and schema-only.
Form Test Data Generator — build a form schema, get a full test matrix per field: valid, invalid, boundary, XSS payloads, SQL injection, Unicode. Export as CSV, JSON, or Markdown.
HTML Minifier and HTML Beautifier — formatting both ways for markup that came from somewhere else and needs cleaning up before you can work with it.
JavaScript Minifier and CSS Minifier — minify and beautify, with download.
New category: QA & Testing
The QA & Testing category is now live, with the Form Test Data Generator as its anchor tool. More tools coming.
Homepage redesign
The homepage was rebuilt with a two-column hero, a "Popular tools" section, and a "Browse by category" grid. It's faster to navigate and better at surfacing what ToolKit actually does.
25+ new guides
We published 25 new guides in May, bringing the total to 60. The newest guides cover:
- HTML Entities Explained
- How to Generate and Sign JWTs
- LLM API Cost Optimization
- CSS Selectors Complete Guide
- Time Zones for Global Applications
- API Response Testing with Assertions
- And 19 more across Security, AI, Developer Tools, and Design categories.
This blog
The blog is new. It's for short posts: tool launches, how-we-built-it, and developer tips. No newsletter, no signup — just a page that exists and gets updated.
Total tools live: 71. Total guides: 60. All client-side, all free.
